Gracie
Gold
Professional figure skater & Olympic medalist
In 2014, Gracie Gold officially became America's golden girl on ice. She stood atop the US Figure Skating podium and skated her way to the 2014 Winter Olympic Games. She won a bronze medal in the team event and finished an incredible fourth place in the singles event. Gracie is a two-time US National Champion and six-time National medalist. She has won events all around the globe and is still the only American woman to have won Japan's NHK Trophy.
Gracie's incredible career has been featured in Sports Illustrated, the Players Tribune, the NY Times and countless other news sources. Her most recent feature is the HBO documentary, Weight of Gold.
In 2017, Gracie stepped away from the ice to seek help for her mental health. She battled depression, suicidal ideation and an eating disorder.
After more than a year away, Gracie announced her return to competitive skating. In 2019, she qualified for the 2020 U.S. Championships and earned herself one of the most meaningful standing ovations of her career.
Living now in Wilmington, Delaware, Gracie is focused on training and competing. She continues to speak openly and candidly about her struggles with mental health and hopes to break the stigma surrounding it.
