Jordyn had another strong season in 2018, landing on nine podiums including four wins, highlighted by Gold at the Vans Park Series event in Malmo, Silver at the US Open, and Bronze at both the Dew Tour and the VPS World Championships in China. 2017 was a breakthrough year for Hawaii-born and So-Cal-based Jordyn Barratt. She earned an X Games silver medal in skateboard park, and won the Vans Combi and Bowl-A-Rama events.
Jordyn turned pro after winning a bronze medal in 2016 in her debut X Games. Other podium performances included the 2016 Vans US Open, 2016 Supergirl Skate Pro, and a silver at the 2016 Vans Park Series World Championships.
Jordyn is a trailblazer in action sports. She competed in professional surf events, including the 2016 US Open, making her the first female to compete as a pro in both skate and surf in the same year at the US Open and was also the first female to qualify for the Dew Tour Park Am contest in 2016, skating in the same competition alongside the boys.
Skateboarding makes its Olympic debut in the 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics, and Jordyn will be pursuing a spot on the inaugural Olympic skateboarding team.
