EVP, Global Merchandising and Product Development, DCPI, Walt Disney Parks and Resorts
As executive vice president, Global Merchandising and Product Development, Adams brings more than 20 years of retail and product experience to her role. Adams leads a centralized, integrated merchandising and product development team that spans business models for Disney Consumer Products and Interactive Media’s licensed and vertical retail and Walt Disney Parks and Resorts’ merchandise. Adams and her team are responsible for delivering a consistent Disney brand message to consumers through a comprehensive range of creative, quality products that continue The Walt Disney Company's stories far beyond the theatrical or television experience.
Prior to leading merchandising and product development for DCPI and WDPR, Adams spent more than five years as part of the Disney Store leadership team, serving as executive vice president, Global Product Development; senior vice president, Disney Store North America; and vice president and general manager, Disney Store North America. Adams has an additional five years of Disney Store merchandise experience from a previous stint, for a total of 15- plus years at The Walt Disney Company.
Earlier in her career, Adams held leadership positions in various department stores, entertainment, and specialty retail organizations with a broad range of responsibilities, including design, creative, and merchandising. Adams is a member of the Dean’s Advisory Council for the Haslam College of Business at University of Tennessee, and has a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee.
