Sejal Shah Miller serves as Vice President, Global Marketing for the iconic Barbie brand. With responsibility for all aspects of brand marketing, product development marketing and commercial go-to-market strategies, Sejal serves as a key member of the Barbie leadership team, and has played a major role in architecting the brand’s recent evolution. During her tenure, the Barbie brand has experienced significant sales growth, driven in large part by a series of highly-impactful marketing campaigns designed to make the brand more relevant to consumers.
Prior to joining Mattel in 2014, Sejal held a variety of leadership roles with L’Oréal’s Luxury Division, including Vice President, Marketing for the European Designer Fragrances portfolio and Assistant Vice President, US Sales for the International Designer Fragrance division. Additionally, she gained significant international brand management experience, first with an assignment in France as Marketing Director on the Biotherm brand, then as Regional Marketing Director for the Middle East/Africa/India/Pacific Rim Zone, where she was responsible for developing the Luxury Division in India.
Over the course of nearly a decade spent with L’Oréal, Sejal managed marketing and branding for prestige beauty and fragrance brands including Lancôme, Biotherm, Ralph Lauren, Giorgio Armani, Viktor & Rolf, Stella McCartney, and Diesel. During her tenure, Sejal, with several years spent the Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb brand experienced significant revenue and profitability growth, catapulting the brand into the top-five women’s fragrance rankings. In her last role, she reported to L’Oréal’s CMO where she was responsible for driving innovation and identifying new business models across L’Oréal’s Hair Care practice.
Before joining L’Oréal, Sejal held sales and marketing positions with J.P. Morgan Chase, where she focused on the firm’s Institutional Asset Management business. She holds a BA in both Economics and Psychology from New York University, an MBA in Marketing and Management from Columbia Business School, and a Certificate in Digital Media Marketing from New York University.
