Erica McLain is a US Olympian, three-time National Champion, and 14-time AllAmerican
in Track and Field, specializing in triple jump and long jump. She earned a BA in
Communications and minor in Studio Art at Stanford University (’08) and a MBA at UC
Berkeley’s Haas School of Business (’15). Although a traumatic training accident has since ended her athletic career, Erica remains committed to her mission of promoting sports as a vehicle for social development. Following her MBA, she founded an experiential education startup that merges sports and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineer, & Mathematics) concepts for middle school students. Additionally, Erica is an active volunteer with Athletes for Hope, Harper for Kids, and serves on the advisory board for the Jerry Smith Coaching for Life Academy.
In a recent life change, she is taking her entrepreneurial spirit to Facebook as a Product Operations Manager in hopes of strengthening her leadership and team building skills amongst a corporate setting. In her free time, she will continue to research and develop sports-based experiential learning opportunities to inspire students to learn in active and personal ways.
