Sara is a member of the Social Impact team at Weber Shandwick in the Washington D.C. office. She specializes in messaging, partnerships, media and communications plan development and strategy for clients in the Social Impact practice. Specifically, she focuses on sport for social impact around youth empowerment, physical activity, education and nutrition.
She has experience working with multiple offices in the public and private sector on an array of global and domestic policy and public affairs issues, as well as initiatives relating to communication strategy plans, partnerships, engagement and messaging development.
Previously, she has communications and partnership strategy experience in both the policy and sports world in roles at Major League Baseball, Playworks, ESPN, the National Football League and on Senator Thomas A. Daschle’s team at DLA Piper and the Bipartisan Policy Center. She also received a Master’s of Science in Nonprofit Leadership from the University of Pennsylvania and completed her undergraduate study at Duke University where she earned a Bachelor’s of Arts in Political Science.
