VICE PRESIDENT, COMMUNICATIONS
Diane Lamb serves as vice president, communications, in ESPN’s communications department, overseeing a diverse portfolio including day-to-day Disney Investor and Public Relations communications, media relations, requests for ESPN corporate information and executive messaging. She heads the recently formed Presentations group, a cross departmental initiative with a focus on consistent and accurate messaging throughout the company. She also is responsible for all aspects of strategy, media relations and internal promotion for ESPN Audio’s growing businesses, First Take, His & Hers, Corporate Citizenship, Operations and the company’s environmental initiatives.
Promoted to this position in 2006, she previously served as senior director, corporate information, since 2005.
In 2011, Lamb was presented with the Team ESPN Green Team Pioneer Award for her continuing efforts over the years to make ESPN more environmentally friendly.
Lamb was graduated from Brown University with a bachelor of arts degree in political science. She was hired by ESPN communications in 1984 and rose through the ranks, leading ESPN’s publicity for Baseball and the National Hockey League. She was promoted to publicist in 1986, to coordinator in 1989, to manager in 1992 and to director in 2001. She had been senior director since 2005.
