Terri Burke leads Global Marketing & Business Development for Edwards’ $800M Heart Valve Therapy business, which includes a portfolio of nearly 40 life-saving heart valve products and more than 15 unique brands. Her experience spans more than 15 years of marketing, business development, venture capital and consulting. Terri’s innovative marketing campaigns have garnered praise across industries and were featured by the Corporate Executive Board at Google’s 2013 ThinkB2B summit.
In her current role, Terri has responsibility for new product development marketing, brand management, and business development, which includes identifying and pursuing strategic partnerships or technology acquisitions to complement Edwards’ internal research and development. Terri has successfully guided product development with clear market requirements and launched six new products into market-leading positions. She has also localized and launched multiple products into China to bring Edwards’ leading portfolio into this important emerging market. Terri previously led Strategic Marketing for Edwards’ beating-heart structural heart disease initiatives.
Prior to joining Edwards in 2006, Terri sourced, evaluated and participated in medical technology investments with a venture capital firm. Terri also held a variety of positions in global and U.S. marketing with Guidant Corporation and as a consultant with Covance Health Economics and Outcomes Services. Terri holds a B.S. in biology from Duke University and an MBA from the University of Southern California. While at Duke, Terri was a member of the nationally ranked Division I Field Hockey Team and an ACC Honor Roll Recipient.
